Association of Aquatic Professionals Conference

Attending the AOAP Conference this week motivated me to start this site in order to centralize all water safety and drowning prevention resources for fellow professionals. As aquatics professionals, we need to be doing more and more community outreach on the importance of parent vigilance and safety barriers to water for children. Here are some highlights on what others shared at conference on how they are educating their communities:

In Australia, drownings in pools significantly decreased when they began to educate parents that they are the primary ones responsible for watching their children at a pool.
